Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, TX seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. You will operate imaging equipment, assist as scrub tech and circulator, and ensure patient safety in the cath lab.

Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree, current ACLS, RCIS within six months, and ARRT/TX RT(R) eligibility. 40-hour weeks, 10-hour shifts with on-call in a major teaching hospital.

Formación

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) eligibility in lieu of RCIS.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interpreting dysrhythmia and EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists physician with diagnostic procedures as a circulator by monitoring patient status during procedures, handling supplies, and operating imaging equipment.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab.
• Demonstrates knowledge of medications and dosages used.
• Demonstrates theoretical knowledge of procedures.
• Orders supplies for cath lab and demonstrates inventory control.
• Post-procedure safety: removes arterial/venous sheath, maintains hemostasis, and monitors patient status.
• Prepares lab for procedure by setting up and maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepares patient for procedure by shaving/prepping and marking arterial pulses.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems.

Educación

Associate or Bachelor’s degree, science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience

AHA ACLS certification

RCIS certification within six months of date of hire

ARRT and TX RT(R) eligibility
