Job summary

Methodist Celina Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician direction. Required are an associate/bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare, AHA ACLS, RCIS within 18 months (or ARRT/TX RT(R) in lieu), and related licensure.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or healthcare experience.
• Current AHA ACLS certification is required.
• RCIS certification due within 18 months of hire; ARRT/TX RT(R) alternatives accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Acts as monitor tech during cath lab procedures and interprets basic/advanced dysrhythmias.
• Assists as scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists as circulator, monitors patient status during procedures and hands supplies.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Cleans and stocks cath lab; manages medications and dosages knowledge.
• Demonstrates procedural knowledge and ensures sterile technique.
• Orders cath lab supplies and maintains inventory control.
• Removes arterial/venous sheath post-procedure and maintains hemostasis.
• Prepares lab and patient for procedures; marks arterial pulses.
• Troubleshoots equipment problems.
