Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga seeks a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (ARRT) for PRN shifts. You will assist physicians during angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements, while preparing patients and supporting families.

The role requires ACLS/BCLS within 30 days, ARRT-R within 6 months, and RCIS preferred. An Associate Degree is required along with 2 years acute care or 1 year cath/EP lab experience.

Qualifications

  • ACLS and BCLS required within specified timeframes.
  • ARRT-R radiography certification due within 6 months.
  • RCIS preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
  • Operate and maintain advanced cath lab equipment.
  • Monitor patient responses to ensure safety and quality care.
  • Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for patients.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
  • Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
  • Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
  • Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
  • Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date; RCIS preferred
  • Associate Degree
  • 2 years acute care, 1 year critical care experience preferred or Cath and/or EP lab experience preferred
  • Call rotation

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB-GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
