Job summary

Parkridge Health System in Chattanooga is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. In this PRN role, you will assist physicians during lifesaving cardiac procedures, monitor patients with compassion, and maintain a sterile environment. Candidates should have an Associate Degree, ACLS and BCLS certifications, with preferred experience in acute critical care. Qualifications

  • Must obtain Advanced and Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
  • ARRT-R Radiography must be obtained within 6 months; RCIS preferred.
  • 2 years acute care or 1 year critical care experience preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

In this role, you’ll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. From guiding patients and families through their journey to ensuring precision in every step of treatment, you’ll bring both skill and compassion to moments that improve more lives in more ways.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
  • Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
  • Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
  • Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
  • Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient
Qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (ARRT‑R) Radiography must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date; RCIS preferred
  • Associate Degree
  • 2 years acute care, 1 year critical care experience preferred or Cath and/or EP lab experience preferred
  • Call rotation

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state‑of‑the‑art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB‑GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to NICU and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
