Job summary

HCA Florida Woodmont Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to perform radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation, operate CR imaging equipment, and send images to PACS for verification. You will assist in the Radiology Department daily operations and maintain professional relationships with staff.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree or higher and possess ACLS/BLS certifications. Various ARRT/RT/RCIS/CRTS licenses or equivalent may be required within two years of employment.

Qualifications

  • Eligible candidates: ACLS and BLS certifications required within specified timeframes.
  • Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology or related field.
  • Licensure or certification including ARRT-R/RT/RCIS/CRT or equivalent within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic procedures involving ionizing radiation to detect pathology.
  • Operate CR imaging equipment and regulate exposure parameters.
  • Send images to PACS for radiology verification.
  • Assist in daily operation of the Radiology Department and maintain professional relations with staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray image, knows how to operate the CR unit and sends the image to PACS for verification. Assists in the daily operation of the Radiology Department. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Associate Degree
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Vocational School Graduate
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (CRT-State) Certified Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner, or Paramedic, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist, or (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse, or (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
