Job summary

HCA Florida Westside Hospital in Florida is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform ionizing radiation procedures, operate the CR unit, and ensure image quality sent to PACS for verification. Responsibilities include assisting in daily Radiology operations, maintaining professional rapport with staff, and adhering to safety standards while delivering patient care.

Applicants must have ARRT-R Radiography, RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer credentials, and BLS.

Qualifications

• BLS certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment start.
• ARRT-R Radiography credential.
• RT Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer certification.
• Valid certificate in radiologic technology.

Responsibilities

• Performs ionizing radiation procedures to detect pathology and operates the CR unit.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates the equipment used to expose the x-ray image, knows how to operate the CR unit and sends the image to PACS for verification. Assists in the daily operation of the Radiology Department. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
