Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Mission Trail Baptist Hospital is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech to perform hemodynamic monitoring and assist physicians during Cath Lab procedures. This role serves patients from adolescents to geriatrics and participates in training Cardiovascular Technicians and Cath Lab staff.

The position requires a health science certificate/degree, RCIS/RCES certification, and BLS; ACLS within 60 days. A strong team player with a commitment to high-quality patient care is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certificate or degree program in health science or equivalent education.
• 2 years of interventional Cath Lab or 2 years of Electrophysiology experience.
• RCIS or RCES certification is required.
• BLS required on hire; ACLS within 60 days of hire. LMRT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and assist the physician during Cath Lab procedures.

Job Summary

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus The CV Tech performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. Works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. In addition trains Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in health science. or equivalent education.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years of interventional Cath Lab or 2 years of Electrophysiology experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: NA

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT)

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
