Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a dedicated healthcare leader to supervise the Cardiovascular Services Department at Mission Trail Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing or radiology school with at least two years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization. Job Summary

Plans for and supervises the daily activities of Cardiovascular Services Department; works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or an accredited school of radiology and/or Cardiovascular Technologist

PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in related field

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years in Cardiac Catheterization and Special Procedures Lab

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year management experience

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or ARRT, ACVT. Cardiovascular Technologist must be certified Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist (LMRT) for Cardiovascular Technologist

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS required for RN, ARRT, ACVT - Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire. AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.
