Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Texas is seeking a skilled technician to perform hemodynamic monitoring and assist physicians during procedures. You will monitor cardiac procedures, assist with emergency care, and train cardiovascular technicians, contributing to exceptional patient care. This position requires graduation from a cardiovascular technology program and 2 years of relevant experience. Competitive benefits package includes insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in interventional Cath Lab or Electrophysiology.
• Must obtain BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac procedures and calculate hemodynamic data.
• Assist nursing personnel with emergency procedures.
• Clean and package instruments for sterilization.

Summary

Under the supervision of an RN, performs hemodynamic monitoring procedures of a highly specialized nature as well as assists the physician during all procedures. Works with patients from adolescents to geriatrics. In addition trains Cardiovascular Technicians and other Cath Lab personnel. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac procedures and calculates hemodynamic data
• Assists nursing personnel with emergency procedures
• Assumes responsibility for maintenance and quality control of equipment
• Cleans and packages instruments/supplies for sterilization
• Assumes role of monitor tech as needed

Education

Graduate of an approved cardiovascular technology program or equivalent education.

Experience

2 years in interventional Cath Lab or 2 years of Electrophysiology experience.

Certifications

RCIS or RCES; BLS; ACLS within 6 months of hire into position.
