Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is hiring for a Cardiovascular Lab role. This full-time daytime position supports cardiology procedures in the cardiovascular lab under physician direction, with 10-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Candidates must hold ARRT-R or RCIS license, maintain BCLS, ACLS within 30 days, and have cardiovascular lab experience; strong computer skills and invasive cardiology training are preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R license or RCIS as required by State
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current
• ACLS; required within 30 days of hire
• Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

• Scrub procedures or monitor data during cardiovascular procedures.
• Ensure the procedure room is prepared for the procedure.
• Monitor par level of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Assist in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.

2. Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.

3. Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

4. BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.

5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.

6. Proficient computer skills.
