Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to support invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. The role requires hands-on knowledge of cath lab equipment and the ability to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular care during procedures.

Qualified RCIS graduates or those from nursing/respiratory/paramedic/imaging/exercise physiology programs are invited to apply; BCLS and ACLS are required, with RCIS certification to be obtained within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• RCIS program graduate or a graduate of nursing/respiratory/paramedic/imaging/exercise physiology.
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: RCIS program graduate or a graduate of program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology.
• MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Based on healthcare experienced (see above) applicable license required. If a graduate of RCIS program, no license is required, however RCIS must be obtained within 24 months of hire.
• ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BCLS and ACLS Required

• Assist the physician in invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. Provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures. Maintain thorough knowledge of Cath Lab/EP equipment and its maintenance.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab/EP Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

RCIS program graduate or a graduate of program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging or exercise physiology.
