Job summary

St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care and perform comprehensive assessments within an interdisciplinary team.

You will plan and implement individualized care, communicate effectively, and support patient recovery in a fast-paced hospital setting with a trauma and cardiac care focus.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing and one year of RN experience required.
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance or equivalent.
• Registered Nurse: TX license required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within 14 days.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess admission and ongoing condition; provide nursing care addressing physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
• Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care and discharge plan.
• Prepare patients for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostics; report changes promptly.
• Reassess patients after interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Provide bedside shift reports to ensure continuity of care.
