Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an on-site Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care at St. Luke’s Health-Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX.

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. The role emphasizes critical thinking, timely interventions, and adherence to safety and hospital protocols in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing required at hire
• Diploma in Nursing required at hire
• At least 1 year of RN experience
• Demonstrated competence in RN performance expectations at hire
• RN license in TX at hire
• BLS/CPR within 14 days
• ACLS within 6 months
• TNCC within 12 months

Responsibilities

• Assess admission and ongoing patient condition and provide nursing care across physical, psychological and spiritual needs.
• Design and document plan of care, patient/family teaching, and discharge planning with multidisciplinary input.
• Prepare patients for treatments, surgeries and diagnostics; report significant changes to physician or team leader; follow safety protocols.
• Reassess patients after interventions and adjust care as needed; notify physician for modifications.
• Provide clear, accurate bedside handoffs and delegate tasks to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain a safe clinical environment and promptly address safety concerns for patients and staff.
