Job summary

Stuart Cardiovascular Surgery Center is hiring a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our cardiovascular team. You will assist physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitor patients during procedures, and manage medications and monitor equipment.

This role requires BLS/ACLS and an RN license in the applicable state. You will collaborate with radiology and cardiovascular teams, maintain documentation, and contribute to a patient-centered environment through careful care and education

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
• Understanding and application of aseptic/sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies and interventional procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, sedation levels and overall patient condition during procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids and contrast agents as ordered.
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure care.
• Maintain infection control, sterile technique and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology techs and cardiovascular staff for seamless care.
• Document patient care, procedural details, medications and complications.
• Respond to emergencies including cardiac events promptly.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are prepared and ready for procedures.
• Support patient preparation, recovery and discharge per protocols.
• Foster a professional, compassionate, patient-centered environment.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The Cath Lab RN plays a crucial role in assisting physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring optimal care before, during, and after procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.


• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition throughout procedures.


• Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents as ordered.


• Provide patient and family education regarding pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care.


• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.


• Collaborate closely with physicians, radiology technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, procedural details, medications, and any complications.


• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac events.


• Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, available, and ready for procedures.


• Assist with patient preparation, recovery, and discharge according to established protocols.


• Promote a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.


• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
