Job summary

Stuart Cardiovascular Surgery Center in Stuart, FL, seeks a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to support interventional cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and provide pre-/post-procedure care in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license, BLS and ACLS (or ability to obtain), and has strong cardiovascular knowledge plus excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and RN licensed in the state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic and sterile technique understood and applied.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition during procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents as ordered.
• Provide patient and family education regarding pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care.
• Maintain infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology technologists, and cardiovascular staff to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, medications, and complications.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including cardiac events.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are ready for procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, recovery, and discharge per protocol.
• Promote a professional, compassionate, patient-centered environment.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The Cath Lab RN plays a crucial role in assisting physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring optimal care before, during, and after procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
• Understanding and demonstrated application of aseptic and sterile techniques.
