Job summary

Stuart Cardiovascular Surgery Center is hiring a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our cardiovascular team. The RN will assist physicians with interventional procedures, monitor patients during procedures, administer medications and contrast, and provide pre/post-procedure education.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license in Florida, and BLS; ACLS is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
• Understanding and demonstrated application of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, flexibility, creativity, and receptiveness to change.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents as ordered.
• Provide patient and family education regarding pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and other team members for seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, procedural details, medications, and complications.
• Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac events.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The Cath Lab RN plays a crucial role in assisting physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring optimal care before, during, and after procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
