Job summary

Stuart Cardiovascular Surgery Center in Stuart, FL is hiring a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The Cath Lab RN will assist physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and ensure high-quality pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Florida, BLS, and ACLS certification or eligibility. Cardiac Cath Lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents as ordered.
• Provide patient and family education regarding pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care.
• Maintain infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and the team to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain documentation of patient care, medications, and any complications.
• Respond to emergencies, including cardiac events.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are maintained, available, and ready for procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, recovery, and discharge per protocols.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The Cath Lab RN plays a crucial role in assisting physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitoring patients, and ensuring optimal care before, during, and after procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.

• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
• Understanding and demonstrated application of aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, flexibility, creativity, and receptiveness to change.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment
