Job summary

Stuart Cardiovascular Surgery Center in Jensen Beach, FL, is hiring a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to assist physicians during interventional cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and ensure high-quality pre- and post-procedure care.

The role demands strong clinical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; BLS and ACLS are required, with cath lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient management.
• Understanding and demonstrated application of aseptic techniques.
• Excellent communication, organizational, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition throughout procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents as ordered.
• Provide patient and family education regarding pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care.
• Maintain infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, radiology technologists, cardiovascular technologists, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, procedural details, medications, and complications.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac events.
• Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, available, and ready for procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation, recovery, and discharge according to established protocols.
• Promote a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered environment.
