The technician will perform specialized radiology procedures, prepare patients, and ensure imaging quality while upholding radiation safety and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Licenses/Certifications: BLS/ACLS, Texas MRT license or temporary license, ARRT-R registration.
• Ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Performs special/invasive radiology procedures with radiation safety compliance.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, positions for imaging, and manages contrast.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs quality assurance on radiology equipment; may assist with accreditation.
• Identifies and reports accidents or equipment malfunctions.
• Takes emergency call within the department.
• Supports department goals and acts as preceptor/mentor where appropriate.
• Provides compassionate, personalized care to patients and colleagues.
