Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager in clinical management and administrative coordination of a designated patient care unit. You will supervise patient care staff, coordinate operations for shifts, and participate in staff development and performance evaluation.

The role emphasizes leadership, policy implementation, and collaboration to ensure quality and safe patient care in a dynamic hospital unit.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• 2 years + of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.

Responsabilités

• Assists in the performance of the operational aspects of a designated unit while providing mentoring and leadership support to the unit staff; supervises the provision of quality, therapeutic and cost-effective patient care.
• Assists Nurse Manager in administrative/management functions and assumes duties as delegated and/or in absence.
• Coordinates and directs the unit patient care operations for an assigned shift, acting on behalf of the Nurse Manager.
• Facilitates orientation, training and ongoing staff development; coaching, developing and corrective action of personnel as appropriate; participates in evaluation of employee performance.
• Monitors and evaluates patient care processes to facilitate smooth workflow and desired outcomes on the unit.
• Interprets to staff the application of the unit's philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures; communicates expectations and monitors staff performance.
• Participates in unit goal and program planning and quality improvement programs at the unit level.
