Job summary

UF Health in Florida is seeking a Cath Lab CVT to support diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization procedures.

The role requires the ability to monitor procedures, assist as a scrub, and ensure patient safety, with RCIS/RCES certification to be completed within 12 months.

Applicants with an associate degree alternative and ARRT licensure preferred; English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Requires RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire.
• Education alternatives include Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor procedures in the Cath Lab and act as scrub assistant.
• Ensure safe patient care during diagnostic and interventional studies.

Overview: The Cath Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies, ensures safe patient care, and works as a scrub assistant.

Qualifications:

Education: -

Associate‘s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology

OR Radiologic Technology

OR Respiratory Therapy

In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years experience.

AND Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS - ACLS
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
