Description

The Catering Supervisor oversees the entire catering operations at one of our units. Responsibilities include catering order taking, driver scheduling, catering production and preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the catering department. The role involves direct communication with outside customers and guests daily. Additionally, the Catering Supervisor supervises food preparation, presentation, and service, working closely with catering and retail staff as well as restaurant managers.

Essential Functions

  • Taking and modifying orders over the phone using POS systems
  • Entering online orders into POS
  • Resolving customer concerns with managerial approval
  • Assigning delivery tasks to catering employees
  • Preparing baked goods and food items
  • Assembling catering food in baskets, trays, and bowls
  • Making deliveries by vehicle or foot
  • Preparing breakfast and lunch
  • Cleaning up and trash disposal
  • Distributing tips daily
  • Executing catering sales initiatives such as customer callbacks, menu drops, community event coordination, food tastings, and territory canvassing
  • Performing expo duties, cashiering, dishwashing, and line cooking as needed

  • Checking bathrooms and busing tables
  • Preparing food to specifications and order requests
  • Managing cash flow and financial transactions accurately
  • Organizing and preparing food for delivery to guests

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or in progress
  • Ability to complete CBC driver training, pass MVR screening, and maintain a valid driver's license with insurance
  • State Foodhandler card/ServSafe certification as applicable
  • Preferably at least 3 months of guest service experience in restaurant or retail environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
