Job Summary

The Food Service Supervisor assists the Manager in all aspects of unit operations and floor management, including food, beverage, equipment, and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives. In addition, the Food Service Supervisor helps cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while ensuring all staff perform at a high level.

Compensation

$18.00 USD Hourly

Essential Functions
  1. Ensure complete guest satisfaction at all times. Handle guest complaints according to customer service standards.
  2. Monitor and supervise setup and maintenance of dining area, cashier stations, and food stations to ensure quality standards.
  3. Assist in recruiting, supervising, scheduling, disciplining, reviewing, and directing staff under the Manager's guidance. Train hourly staff for peak performance and monitor their development.
  4. Maintain a safe facility environment, including standards for maintenance, equipment, food handling, sanitation, dress code, cash control, and hygiene. Notify the Manager of safety or quality issues.
Skill and Knowledge Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of related management experience required.
  • Food Safety Certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse groups.
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills; team leadership ability.
  • Excellent customer service skills, proactive in assisting customers and coworkers.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Ability to move within the work environment, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes and read/write in English.
  • Clear verbal communication skills; ability to understand and be understood by customers and coworkers.
  • Physical presence at the job site is essential.
Equipment Used
  • Office equipment (computers, phones, fax, copiers, scanners).
  • Food service equipment (stoves, refrigerators, fryers, etc.).
