The Food Service Supervisor oversees inmate labor and team members in a correctional facility's food service operation. Responsibilities include preparing and serving food according to menus and work instructions, and using various kitchen utensils and equipment efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

1. Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and service shifts.
2. Assist or instruct in food preparation following menus and recipes.
3. Ensure proper and sanitary food storage.
4. Serve food as per schedule and policies.
5. Use kitchen equipment to prepare and serve food, meeting nutritional standards.
6. Follow food safety regulations.
7. Train other food service workers.
8. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
9. Adhere to uniform policy and cleanliness standards.
10. Manage waste and keep the kitchen environment ready for operation.
11. Ensure proper portioning and utensil use.
12. Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
13. Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
