Job summary

Hy-Vee in Shawnee, KS is seeking a Catering Clerk for the Market Grille. You will coordinate and deliver catering orders, greet customers, and ensure each interaction is friendly and efficient.

You will work with the Catering Manager, handle payments, and maintain food safety and cleanliness while training new staff and contributing to a smooth, memorable event experience for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Server experience is a plus; training is provided.
• Ability to learn and follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service with a smile.
• Deliver catering orders promptly and collect payment.
• Collect delivery items from departments and deliver them correctly.
• Handle food safely with temperature logs and rotate perishables.
• Maintain sanitation and organized work area throughout shift.
• Train new employees on event coordination.

• Answer phones and assist customers with product orders.
• Collaborate with store team to ensure customer satisfaction.
