Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Catering Clerk for the Market Grille to coordinate catering orders, assist with events, and ensure friendly, efficient service. You will work closely with the Catering Manager to deliver orders on time, greet customers, and maintain safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable shift coverage, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while keeping customers happy and informed. Training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service, greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Deliver catering orders promptly, collect payment, and return it to the store.
• Handle and rotate perishable items, maintain food safety practices and a clean work area.
• Train new employees on coordinating and running events.
• Maintain delivery vehicles and assist with special projects as needed.
• Answer phones and take product orders, coordinating with team to ensure customer satisfaction.
