Job summary

Hy-Vee Grimes is seeking a Catering Coordinator in the Market Grille department to own the full catering experience for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations.

You will meet with customers, write detailed orders, coordinate across kitchen, bakery, and deli, manage pricing and invoicing, and ensure quality and service standards in a fast-paced retail environment. This role is on-site and requires strong organizational and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greeting customers with a smile.
• Meet with customers to understand catering needs and write detailed orders.

• Determine pricing, prepare bills, extend invoices, and oversee department bookkeeping procedures.
• Develop standard catering practices and conduct quality checks for multi-event catering.
• Organize store shows and bridal/holiday events and coordinate with events staff.
