Job summary

ASM Global is seeking a Catering & Special Events Coordinator to support day-to-day operations for the catering and special events department at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The role involves planning and executing events, creating BEOs, and collaborating with culinary teams to finalize menus and budgets.

This position supports the Director of Special Events and participates in ticketed event planning, venue logistics, and post-event invoicing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a hospitality coordinator role.
• Working knowledge of culinary/food & beverage.
• Detail oriented and experienced in creating BEOs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of the special events/hospitality industry.
• Microsoft Office skills including document formatting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think creatively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, detail and execute catering requests for internal and special events.
• Create event orders, floor plans and event logistics reports.
• Prepare and execute BEO meetings with the team.
• Collaborate with culinary team to select menus and track costs.
• Generate event orders for ticketed events.
• Support planning and execution of catering orders for internal clients.
