Job summary

Loews Chicago O’Hare is seeking a Catering Service Manager to coordinate and execute catering events from assignment to final payment. This role partners with hotel operating departments to ensure events meet client specifications and Loews standards.

The ideal candidate has a college degree in a related field, strong communication skills, and hotel operations knowledge. Flexible schedule and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required; Delphi and diagramming software are a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree in related field.
• Minimum one year of experience in event execution, sales, or related experience in a full‑service hotel.
• Two years in guest-facing customer service or hospitality is acceptable.
• Knowledge of hotel operational departments is expected.
• Ability to partner effectively with clients, guests and hotel staff at all levels.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and technical systems experience recommended.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Delphi experience and diagramming software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and service all booked catering events.
• Lead client correspondence and introductions to operations and vendors.
• Maintain client relationships through professional and timely communication.
• Partner with Culinary and F&B teams on menu options.
• Prepare Banquet Event Orders and related reports for hotel departments.
