Job summary

Q39-Bbq-Restaurant is seeking a Catering Server to ensure guests have an outstanding dining experience at banquet events. You will greet guests, assist them, serve food and beverages, and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff.

As part of a events team, you will help with setup, event service, and post-event cleanup, while maintaining safety and high service standards. Flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays are often required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a server is preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy items during events.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to meet age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests as they enter the venue and assist with seating.

A Q39 Catering Server is responsible for ensuring that our guests have an outstanding dining experience during assigned banquet events. This is accomplished by greeting, assisting, serving, and providing quality customer service. The person will handle everything from set up, to working the event, to post-event and clean-up responsibilities.This position will report to an on-site Catering Captain during the event.Event Server Responsibilities:Greeting guests as they enter a venue.Seeing to the comfort of guests by answering questions, taking orders, conveying special instructions to the kitchen and bar, and serving food and beverages.Circulating the room to assist.Assisting guests through steps of service to include buffet-styled event or plated events.Assisting with event preparation, set up, and closing, including setting up and packing away tables, tablecloths and place settings, and buffets.Supporting other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.Adhering to safety and quality regulations.Catering Server Requirements:A high school diploma or equivalent.Experience as a server is preferred.May need to meet age limits for serving alcoholic beverages.Courteous and attentive to guests.Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavyweights.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
