Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. is seeking a Catering Sales Manager in Bloomington, MN. You will drive revenue by prospecting and closing catering opportunities, building proposals, and coordinating event execution to ensure guest satisfaction.

The role requests 1–3 years hotel catering experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments. Travel to events may be required; comprehensive benefits start soon after employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor degree preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and mathematical aptitude.
• General knowledge of contract laws and local market knowledge preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office; Delphi and Opera knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Achieves market share and revenue goals with Sales/ Catering leadership.
• Prepares proposals and contracts to maximize profit while meeting client needs.
• Responds to RFPs in alignment with brand standards and client inquiries.
• Communicates client requests to all departments via BEOs and detailed briefs.
• Solicts new business through outside calls, hotel tours and client hosting.
• Delivers hotel features to meet client needs and retain repeat business.
• Reviews goals weekly and adjusts actions to meet KRAs.
• Travel to trade shows and events as required.
