Omaha Marriott Downtown At The Capitol District is seeking a Sales Catering Manager to drive corporate and social catering opportunities from client visits, tours, and proposals. You will coordinate menus, contracts, and events to ensure a seamless guest experience in our downtown Omaha hotel.

The role emphasizes strong communication, meticulous planning, and the ability to travel for outside sales activities as needed, with extensive training and a focus on repeat business and guest

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan and coordinate complex events and proposals.
• Experience in hotel or catering sales is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicit and develop new business opportunities through client visits and prospecting to meet revenue goals.
• Serve as primary contact for corporate, social, and catering clients and promote facilities.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, menus, and client correspondence professionally and timely.
• Plan, coordinate, and detail events ensuring requirements are communicated to operations.
• Oversee event execution and provide on-site support for service excellence.
• Maintain client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up to drive repeat business.
• Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify opportunities.
