Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Spotsylvania County, VA is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to handle event-only bookings with under ten sleeping rooms, prospect, and close group business. You’ll partner with Banquets, Culinary, Convention Services and Guest Services to ensure flawless event execution.

Qualifications

• Two years of hotel catering/event sales experience.
• Experience and proven success in developing and closing group business is required.
• Broad understanding of events industry and hotel/resort operations.
• Ability to establish rapport with leads, discover needs, overcome objections and close a sale.
• Ability to manage your own time and accounts are required.
• Attention to detail when managing accounts is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting.
• Build and nurture client relationships.
• Negotiate and contract management across events.
• Partner with Banquets, Culinary, Convention Services, Guest Services and other ops teams for successful events.
• Resolve client concerns proactively to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Maintain accurate client records in the resort's sales and event management systems.

Catering Sales Manager

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Catering Sales Manager.In this role, you willhandle all event-only bookings with under ten sleeping rooms.You would do this through prospecting, account development, trade show participation, negotiating, contracting, event detailing, onsitesupportand billing.This is a contracting and servicing position; all events booked by this position will also be detailed and serviced by this position.

As part of our leadership team,you’llembody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences.You’llserve as a trusted partner throughout the event planning process, ensuring every detail aligns with client expectations and resort standards. Through effective communication and teamwork, you’ll help create a positive associate experience that drives engagement, efficiency, and service excellence.

Salary Range - $60k - $70k

Key Responsibilities
