Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a sales professional for the Residence Inn Berkeley in Berkeley, CA. You will solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals, conduct site inspections, prepare proposals, and coordinate with hotel teams to deliver outstanding service.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of hospitality sales experience, excellent communication skills, and strong knowledge of hospitality principles. English fluency is required; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence prospects and hotel guests.
• Advanced knowledge of the sales and hospitality principles and practices.
• Results-oriented writing techniques for correspondence, i.e. letters, reports, proposals.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new and existing accounts to meet revenue goals via calls, visits, and written communication.
• Prepare correspondence, internal booking reports, and file maintenance.
• Prepare event-related documents (resumes, BEOs) for booked groups.
• Participation in daily sales meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales-related meetings as required.
• Work with other hotel departments to provide quality service to customers.
• Attend trade shows, community events and industry meetings.
• Develop knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
• Represent the hotel professionally in community and industry organizations and events.
• Participate as a team player with all departments.
• Assist with reports and data collection.
• Follow the CARE and Four Disciplines of Associate Success.
