Job summary

Marriott Covington is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive catering sales, manage accounts, and ensure guest satisfaction within the Sales & Catering Team. Responsibilities include soliciting new business, coordinating banquets and room rentals, and performing client site inspections for top events.

Essential candidates will have strong Food & Beverage knowledge, fluent communication, and the ability to meet revenue targets in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive knowledge of Food & Beverage etiquette, guest relations, and service standards.
• Ability to read, write and speak fluently to interact with clients.
• Basic mathematical skills to complete reports and point of sale.
• Ability to work under time pressure and extensive hours.
• Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness.
• Drive catering sales by proactively seeking new business opportunities and responding promptly to inquiries.
• Lead and manage efficient sale of banquets and catering and room rentals within the Sales and Catering Division.
• Conduct site inspections with potential and existing clients, showcasing our exceptional offering.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure seamless account servicing.
• Maintain a database of accounts in defined territories within the sales system.
• Participate in the development of sales plans, sales research, forecasting and other department activities.
