Job summary

Delta Hotels Ontario Airport is seeking a Catering Sales Manager to drive catering sales, manage client relationships, and coordinate events from inquiry through post-event follow-up.

The role requires strong sales, negotiation, and organizational skills, plus experience in event planning and hotel operations. You will collaborate with banquet, culinary, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences at each event.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years catering sales, event planning, or hotel sales experience.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, catering trends, and event logistics.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with hotel CRM and sales software (Delphi, Opera, Salesforce).
• Availability for evenings and weekends based on events.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, solicit, and close catering sales opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and event organizers.
• Develop and present catering proposals tailored to client needs and budget.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to create promotional campaigns for catering services.
• Serve as the main contact for clients from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate with banquet and culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution.
• Create and manage BEOs to communicate client requirements to operations.
• Monitor event profitability and ensure adherence to hotel policies.
