Job summary

Hyatt Regency Ontario is seeking a Banquet Manager to direct and oversee all banquet, catering, conference, and special event operations within the hotel. This role ensures exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences while leading the banquet team and coordinating with multiple departments.

You will manage labor costs, review BEOs, ensure high-quality service, and act as the on-site client contact during events, aligning with luxury hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years of banquet, catering, F&B, or event management in upscale settings.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience managing large-scale events (conferences, weddings).

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee banquet, catering, conference, and special events operations.
• Review BEOs and function sheets for readiness and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Sales, Culinary, Conference Services, Engineering and other departments.
• Inspect banquet rooms and equipment for setup, cleanliness, and presentation standards.
• Monitor service quality, delivery timeliness, and adherence to luxury standards.
• Lead staffing, labor deployment, and budget adherence for events.
• Coach and develop banquet team members and manage payroll and productivity.
