Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace offers a journey through the flavors of Italy with 11 stores across New York and New Jersey. We provide a wide selection of specialty goods, fresh produce, prepared foods, and gourmet treats, ensuring quality and traditional recipes in every product.

About the Position

Our newest gourmet location in Sayville, NY, is seeking a full-time Catering Manager to oversee its in-store Catering Team. The Catering Manager will supervise the department's operations and ensure successful catering services.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise catering logistics and operations.
2. Handle customer orders via in-person or phone, verifying accuracy of all food items.
3. Complete proposals, contacts, menus, correspondence, and reports following Uncle Giuseppe's procedures.
4. Plan events and design menus.
5. Book outside vendors for equipment rentals, staffing, and other resources.
6. Process online orders and ensure payments are received.
7. Coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules.
8. Assist with clerical tasks and in-store demonstrations.
9. Support delivery of catered orders and events as needed.
10. Respond promptly to customer complaints.
11. Develop and maintain customer relationships.
12. Process weekly gratuities and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3-4 years of management experience in catering, event planning, or event management.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to multitask, delegate, and make quick decisions.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Availability for extended hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays during peak seasons.

Working Conditions
