Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a skilled Catering Manager 3 to lead an innovative, high-volume catering program at a BNPP in New York. As a Catering Manager, you will oversee Conference Center Catering and Executive Catering operations, manage a dynamic team, and deliver exceptional service to the client. Your leadership will directly impact the quality and efficiency of the catering program. You will manage end-to-end catering events, focusing on attention to detail and white glove service. What You'll Do

  1. Oversee catering operations for a fast-paced environment, emphasizing seamless service, innovation, and creativity.
  2. Manage various catering events, including breakfasts, lunches, large town halls, happy hours, and exclusive C-Suite events.
  3. Handle all event bookings, including calendar management, room setup, rentals, AV, and food service.
  4. Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth and repeat engagements.
  5. Demonstrate expertise in sales, team building, and event planning to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Supervise and train a team of 7 hourly employees, manage inventory, oversee ordering, and maintain strict cost controls for catering events.

What You Bring

  • Proven knowledge in casual, high-volume, fine dining, and banquet management.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Financial acumen and understanding of catering technical aspects.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring a diverse catering staff.
  • Ability to multi-task, delegate, and coordinate multiple events effectively.
  • A systems-based approach to meet and exceed each event’s unique requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Management Experience: 2 years
  • Minimum Functional Experience: 1 year in food or culinary services (restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.)
