Job Summary:

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? As a Catering Manager at Compass Group USA, you will lead all aspects of and coordinate both internal and external catering events. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering outstanding service and eager to lead a dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hire, train, and develop managers, focusing on improving service techniques, menu presentation, and adherence to policies and procedures.
2. Build and lead operating statements, reports, and operational budgets, ensuring financial targets and forecasts are met.
3. Plan and direct catering activities, including crafting proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
4. Develop and monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts.
5. Maintain a local client database and build positive relationships with vendors.
6. Ensure all safety and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with HACCP.
7. Implement labor and food cost controls, and oversee event preparation, transportation, setup, operation, and clean-up.
8. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
2. Proven track record of meeting sales goals.
3. Strong knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining service points.
4. At least two years of hospitality industry experience, including one year in catering sales.
5. Supervisory, scheduling, training, and mentoring skills.
6. Ability to assess client requirements and deliver excellent service.
7. Supervision of food preparation, service, and clean-up.
8. Knowledge of A/V equipment setup for events.
9. Excellent communication skills (quantitative, oral, and written).
10. Leadership, organization, flexibility, and attention to detail.
11. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
12. Proactive, calm under pressure, and adaptable to change.
13. High standards of integrity and ethical behavior.
14. Outstanding client relations and customer service skills.
