Role Overview

Sodexois seeking a skilledCatering Manager 3 to lead an innovative, high-volume catering program at a BNPP in New York. As a Catering Manager, you’ll use your expertise to oversee Conference Center Catering and Executive Catering operations, while managing a dynamic team, and delivering exceptional service to the client. Your leadership will directly impact the quality and efficiency of the catering program. You'll manage end to end catering events, with a focus on attention to detail and white glove service. What You'll Do
  • Oversee catering operations for a fast paced with a focus on seamless service, innovation and creativity.
  • Manage a variety of catering events, ranging from breakfasts and lunches to large town halls, happy hours and exclusive C-Suite events.
  • Manage all event booking, including calendar management, room set up, rentals, AV and food service.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth and repeat engagements.
  • Demonstrate expertise in sales, team building, and event planning to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise and train a team of 7 hourly employees, manage inventory, ordering, and maintain strict cost control for catering events.

What You Bring
  • Demonstrated knowledge in casual, high-volume, fine dining, and banquet management.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of the technical aspects of catering.
  • Experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring a diverse and talented catering staff.
  • Ability to multi-task, delegate, and coordinate multiple events.
  • A systems-based approach to meet and exceed each event’s unique requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum Management Experience - 2 years Minimum Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
