Job summary

Universal Weather And Aviation in Dallas, TX is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare hot and cold items, salads, desserts, and specialty dishes per recipes and customer requests. You will work on-site as part of a production team, following ACW standards for quality, safety, and cost.

Expect to train and assist staff, manage labeling and allergens, maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen, and use Shipday for order logistics. Requires ServSafe certification, knife skills, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 45 days.
• Must have knife/cutting skills.
• Must have an understanding of cooking techniques.
• Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering companies or its equivalent required, with experience in new culinary trends preferred.
• Demonstrate the ability to take orders and follow through as well as direct and work well with others in a team-driven, fast-paced environment is essential.
• Must be energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated to assist in food preparation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Train and direct Air Culinaire team members and ensure accuracy of food, labeling, and allergens.
• Provide feedback to Kitchen Management to monitor and improve quality.
• Assist in the butchering of meats and fish and daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure all food preparations meet ACW specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a safe, sanitized kitchen and monitor temperature logs and use food safety tools.
• Direct maintenance of kitchen equipment and support other team members.
• Assist with ordering and inventory as needed by the General Manager.
• Use Shipday for order logistics and delivery confirmation.
