Job summary

Kalyan Hospitality's Graduate Hotel in downtown Richmond is seeking a proactive Catering & Event Sales professional to develop meeting, catering, wedding, social, and group business. You will respond to inquiries, present venue capabilities, and craft compelling proposals.

Develop relationships with local businesses, planners, and partners; manage a robust sales pipeline; negotiate packages; upsell enhancements; and coordinate with Food & Beverage and Banquets teams to ensure seamless events.

Qualifications

• Prior sales, catering, event planning, or hospitality experience.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Solid organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Ability to negotiate and close business.

Responsibilities

• Develop proactive sales strategies to generate meeting, catering, wedding, social, and event business.
• Respond promptly to catering/event inquiries and present proposals.
• Build relationships with local businesses, planners, and partners; manage pipeline.
• Coordinate with F&B, Banquets, and other hotel teams for seamless events.
• Identify opportunities to upsell enhancements and maximize revenue.
• Maintain post-event follow-up and drive repeat business.
