Job summary

Legends Global in San Francisco is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead our catering team and ensure top-notch service during events. You will oversee front- and back-of-house operations, train staff, and uphold safety and sanitation standards to deliver exceptional experiences.

As a manager, you will coordinate with culinary, sales, operations, and housekeeping to meet client expectations, manage staffing levels with the Director of Ops, and drive performance during high-pressure events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in a food and beverage managerial role.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee employees, including union and non-union supervisors during busy events.
• Preserve and execute excellent levels of internal and external customer service.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor during events to oversee execution of event plans.
• Train and instruct food and beverage employees on procedures, equipment, service standards, etc.
• Organize and monitor setup of assigned catering events.
• Enforce food service sanitation and safety, food handling procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet client expectations.
