Job summary

The Shore and Country Club in Norwalk, CT seeks an experienced Catering & Events Manager to oversee sales, planning, coordination, and execution of private functions, weddings, member events, and club activities. You will lead a collaborative team, manage budgets, and partner with the Executive Chef and F&B team to deliver memorable experiences for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of catering sales or event planning experience.
• Experience managing weddings, private functions, and events for a luxury/club setting.
• Strong organizational, creative, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead event service teams and coordinate multiple departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and event management software.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for private event inquiries and bookings.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, and secure event bookings.
• Plan menus, timelines, layouts, décor, entertainment, AV, and logistics.
• Prepare BEOs, floor plans, contracts, invoices, and final billing.
• Develop and execute the club's calendar of member events and social activities.
• Manage on-site events, coordinating setup, timing, service, and guest experience.
• Coordinate with vendors, entertainers, and rental providers.
• Monitor revenue, expenses, bookings, and profitability.
