Job summary

The Shore and Country Club is seeking an experienced Catering & Events Manager to oversee the sales, planning, coordination, and execution of private functions, weddings, member events, and Club-sponsored activities. This highly visible role partners with the Clubhouse Manager, Executive Chef, and F&B teams to grow catering opportunities and create memorable experiences for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality management.
• Experience in weddings, private functions, and special events.
• Knowledge of banquet operations, food & beverage service, and logistics.
• Ability to lead event service teams and coordinate multiple departments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and event management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for private event inquiries, including weddings and corporate functions.
• Conduct tours, meet clients, prepare proposals and contracts, and secure bookings.
• Manage menus, timelines, room layouts, décor, AV, and event logistics.
• Prepare BEOs, floor plans, contracts, invoices, and final billing.
• Develop the annual calendar of member events with leadership and committees.
• Act as on-site manager during events, overseeing setup and service coordination.
• Lead and direct event service staff and coordinate with vendors and venues.
• Communicate with members, hosts, and departments throughout execution.
• Monitor catering revenue, expenses, bookings, and profitability; identify growth opportunities.
• Review feedback and implement continuous improvements.
