Job summary

Loews Chicago O’Hare is seeking a Catering Service Manager to oversee all aspects of catering events from assignment to final payment, coordinating with hotel departments and vendors to meet client specifications and Loews standards.

The role emphasizes outstanding service, client satisfaction, and driving repeat business for the property. Flexibility for weekends and a dynamic hotel environment is required.

Qualifications

• College degree in related field is required.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Minimum one year of experience in event execution, sales, or related experience, in full-service hotel environment or minimum two years of experience in guest-facing Customer Service and or hospitality role.
• Knowledge of hotel operational departments.
• Must be able to partner effectively with clients, guests, and all levels of hotel staff and management.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and Technical – systems.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite; Delphi/Diagramming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and service all booked assigned Catering events.
• Lead client correspondence and introductions to operations and vendor partners.
• Build client relationships through professional communication and support.
• Coordinate with Culinary and F&B Team on menu options.
• Prepare event documents (BEOs, resumes) for hotel departments.
• Forecast and report on group F&B spend and room block performance.
• Drive revenue through banquet and room rental opportunities.
