Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service with a smile and learn customer names.
• Meet with customers to understand catering needs, write detailed orders, coordinate with departments.
• Maintain department standards for service, cleanliness, appearance and profitability.
• Develop contracts for exclusive Hy-Vee catering events with prospective customers.
• Determine pricing, prepare bills, and oversee invoices and bookkeeping procedures.
• Develop standard catering practices and quality checks for multi-event catering.
• Organize store events and coordinate with the events coordinator for annual shows.
• Advise customers on equipment and rentals and obtain Store Director approval.
• Ensure proper temperatures and storage to maintain freshness and control shrink.
• Instruct and coordinate department staff; attend manager meetings and set baseline pricing.
• Understand and troubleshoot equipment; ensure maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to Hy-Vee policies, hygiene, and safety standards; answer calls promptly.
