Job summary

The Naval Support Activity, Regional Support Services Program, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Recreation Division is seeking a food and beverage service assistant to support catered functions, conferences and special events.

Responsibilities include preparing areas, setting tables, serving beverages, and maintaining cleanliness; candidates must meet background and suitability requirements and comply with standard federal workplace policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques.
• Knowledge of proper table setting techniques.
• Ability to follow oral instructions; performs routine manual tasks involving few steps.
• Understanding of personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs necessary preparations in assigned area prior to opening the dining room.
• Sets tables with cloths, silverware, glasses, condiments, napkins, and decorations.
• Serves side dishes and beverages; assists with menu recommendations when requested.
• Clears and cleans tables after meals and resets the area for the next guests.
