Navy Region Southeast Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL, is seeking staff to provide food and beverage service for catered functions, conferences, and special events in a food service facility.

Responsibilities include setting up tables, maintaining sanitation, assisting with service, and performing related cleaning duties; this is a flexible, mission-driven environment supporting Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques.
• Ability to follow oral instructions; performs routine manual tasks.
• Understanding of personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs behind-the-scene food and beverage service functions and related housekeeping tasks.
• Readies tables and ensures cleanliness of dishes, glasses, and silverware.
• Prepares side tables with glasses, napkins, ice, and extras for meals.
• Refills food and beverage containers and performs cleanup services.
• Cleans tables and prepares them for new guests.
• May mop, wax, and buff floors in the assigned area.
• May perform related cleaning duties in dining areas, bar, and lounge.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
